Maybe our old wounds teach us something.
They remind us where we’ve been and what we’ve overcome.
They teach us lessons about what to avoid in the future.
That’s what we like to think.
But that’s not the way it is, is it?
Some things we just have to learn over and over again.

gratitude
Whether you've pushed me or pulled me down...
Drained me or fueled me...
Loved or left me...
Helped or hurt me...
YOU ARE PART OF MY GROWTH.
No kidding!
I thank you. ;)

the one you NEED
God doesn't give you the people you want.
He gives you the people you NEED....
to help you,
to hurt you,
to leave you,
to love you
and to make you into the person
you were meant to be.

just let it go
You can't reach for anything new if your hands are still full of yesterday's junk.
When the past calls, let it go to voicemail, it has nothing new to say.

Family isn't always blood.
It's the people in your life who want you in theirs.
The ones who accept you for who you are.
The ones who would do anything to see you smile
and who love you no matter what.

stone-cutter
When nothing seems to help, I look at a stone cutter hammering away at his rock, perhaps a hundred times without as much as a crack showing in it.
Yet at the hundred-and-first blow it will split in two, and I know it was not the last blow that did it, but all that had gone before.
