Sometimes I’m absolutely certain I love you and always will

then I think of all the shit you did to me

and wonder how anyone could love someone after all that.

You make me confused.

But love is love

even when it doesn’t make sense…

even when you’re not here...

Even though you’ve found someone new...

And though the memories began to fade.

I know there was a time

when I wasn’t this alone

even if I don’t remember it anymore.

I don’t like thinking about the past because I start thinking--

"It was so simple."

"So easy."

"But you took it all for granted."

"And you can never get it back."

And then all these emotions start building in my chest behind my eyes clouding my thoughts...

and I can’t speak.

I can’t think and the only thing I know is--

I miss how it used to be…

I miss who we used to be.

I've hit rock bottom so many times that

I couldn't even count them anymore even if I include my toes.

But I'm glad that I did because

I wouldn't be this strong and invincible to pain;

I wouldn't have known my true friends;

I wouldn't have loved my family more.

And I am more than ever confident to myself

and faithful to God.

Throughout life some people will treat you unjustly and cause a deep scar in your heart. LET GO AND LET GOD DEAL WITH WHAT THEY DO. Hate would only consume you. Instead, you should move forward with faith that God is always by your side and as long as you treat others fairly and with compassion, believe that the tears you cried in the past will certainly be replaced with innumerable blessings from Him...soon. :)

I am grateful that somehow we are made,

in the most trying of times,

to just block out everything and KEEP GOING,

even when you have no idea what to do or how it will all work out.
